Morpheus8 (Body) is a subdermal adipose remodeling device (SARD) that structurally contours and improves the body. By fractionally penetrating deep into the skin and fat, the body is worked into a smoother and sleeker appearance. Much like the Morpheus8 (Face) handpiece, the Morpheus8 (Body) can be used on any part of the body that can benefit from subdermal renewal.
Morpheus8 (Body) is popular among our patients, as it is a great alternative for men and women who are seeking a long-term solution to keep their skin smooth, healthy, and youthful-looking. These are the most common target parameters for the Morpheus8 (Body):
With this technology, our expert aesthetic provider Helen Onoriode, MD can help provide targeted treatment solutions to the following areas, to achieve your desired body goals;
Your Morpheus8 (Body) treatment series begins with a consultation, during which the provider discusses your concerns and goals, and designs a specific treatment plan to achieve your desired goals. The device is guided across the treatment areas to create tiny microchannels in your skin’s surface while delivering RF energy to the deeper dermal layers. The entire procedure is typically completed within 1.5 hours.
After treatment, you might experience mild redness, burning & tingling, swelling, pinpoint bleeding, itching, and dryness at the treated sites. These effects are generally temporary and should subside within a few days. There’s usually no downtime after a Morpheus8 treatment, so you can immediately return to your daily routine. However, you should avoid strenuous activities for a few days to give your skin enough time to heal and recover. You can resume all of your activities once the side effects dissipate completely, usually within 3 days post-treatment.
You may be a good candidate if you are looking to improve your skin texture, scarring, cellulite, skin laxity, turgor, fat deposits, and much more.
Before every Morpheus8 (Body) procedure, some numbing cream is applied to the treatment areas. This is to ensure the patient's comfort during treatment. You may feel some heat or light sting as the device touches the skin.
The number of treatment sessions varies for every patient. Consultation visits are necessary and required to curate a treatment plan. Recommendations are offered based on the physician’s discretion and judgment (putting the physical examination and clinical grading into account) on the requirement to achieve maximum efficacy of the treatment. However, these recommendations can be revised due to a multitude of reasons, some of which include the patient’s tolerance to the treatment and/or current medical conditions. Generally speaking, an average of 3 to 6 sessions of Morpheus8 treatment at O.H Women's Health is recommended for optimal results.
The treatment areas must be kept moisturized and direct sun exposure should be avoided especially between the hours of 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. It is also recommended that patients use a good, broad-spectrum sunscreen every day.
